Onboarding Program




This Onboarding Program lays the groundwork for Robust Design Principles and using the RD8 platform for the analysis, preparing learners to start their Robust Design journey and application.


 Course learning objectives:

  • Learn how to prepare CAD models for the right Robust Design analysis
  • Hands-on experience on how to create and setup a project
  • Hands-on experience on  how to set up the product architecture
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of an ideal kinematic design
  • Hands-on experience with kinematic analysis on live CAD
  • Hand-on experience with tolerance stack up analysis on live CAD
  • Learn how to iterate you design improvements


Course Information


Prerequisites: Solid understanding and practical experience with mechanical design engineering.


Duration: 30 days

To gain the full effect of the onboarding process, engineers are recommended/expected to allocate at least 20 hours (5-8 hours per week ) —in addition to training sessions—  to follow the fast and steep learning curve, to gain confidence and exercising, and to start getting results on the robust design analysis.

  • The Onboarding process is designed to introduce and enable new users into using the Robust Design methodology and RD8. software.
  • Covers initial Robust Design introduction, training, hands-on support, and post-onboarding review to ensure seamless software adoption.
  • Involves RD8 Customer Success Manager (CS), Specialised Trainer and Sales Manager (SM) for effective learning and comprehensive support.
  • The RD8 Customer Success Manager is an experienced Robust Design consultant, with specialized skills in Robust Design, Software and training.
  • The Onboarding Program can be delivered effectively online, on-site or hybrid.

  • 1:1 drops can be purchased additionally to cater for variation in start up.
